Sniper Airsoft Gear
An airsoft sniper is someone that shoots at individuals from a concealed or distant position. As such, there is
special skill necessary in order to be successful here. There is also special equipment that is needed
as an aid for this success.
This equipment usually consists of four things:
-
A sniper airsoft rifle is not the same as an ordinary hunting rifle as it is built specifically
for sniping. As such, there have been modifications made in its design and there has also
been the addition of a flash suppressor and a bipod to make shooting while lying prone much
easier. These guns are then fine tuned by a master gunsmith for increased accuracy. The most
recommended spring sniper rifle is the Super 9 Bolt Action Airsoft sniper rifle, which is made
by UHC (one of the premier manufacturers of spring guns).
-
An airsoft rifle scope is also very important because it allows the sniper to be able to accurately see
long distances, which is critical to his success. Oftentimes you will find that the original
equipment rifle scope does not fulfill this requirement and thus you will need to upgrade.
In doing so, you should make sure that you have a minimum 4 x 32 power scope as this is
the desired measure.
-
Ammunition is also important but it is not the same ammunition that is sold to civilians in
stores. Instead, it must be hand made by gunsmiths. Whenever you are playing Airsoft make
sure that you have enough ammunition that you will not run out during a long Airsoft skirmish,
otherwise you may meet your demise as you emerge prematurely from your secret hideout at the
most inopportune time in order to retrieve more pellets.
-
Military camouflage is something that a successful sniper must also master, otherwise you will
be doomed to failure. This is why it is so critical for a good sniper to invest in a ghillie
suit, which is made from a Battle Dress Uniform with strips of canvas attached to the front
of it. There is also a strong mesh across the back. Plus, if the sniper plans on doing any
stalking, they will have to incorporate bits of the surrounding environment into their
ghillie suit. This is done by either adding plant-matter to the suit or rolling in
the dirt or mud in order to deaden color contrasts. All of this will provide the sniper
with maximum concealment from enemy patrols and other snipers. However, since this suit
may have to be worn for a very long time during battles, comfort must really be taken
into consideration.
Whenever these essential items are properly utilized, an airsoft sniper can hit targets that are as far away as a mile and a half away.
